Vatican Paper Decries BBC Use of

"Common Era"

The BBC - British Broadcasting Corporation recently

caved in to political distortions and decided to no

longer refer to years as 2000 BC for example or 2011 AD.

What does this mean to you?  It means the BBC thinks the

2000 year old use of of B.C. Before Christ and

Year of the Lord (AD) are offensive to people who

have no faith and it ought to be changed to a neutral

designation of Before Common Era and Common

Era.

Consider this:  until the latter part of this century, the

only group who held this in common were of European

descent and is it any wonder in a nation who brought

us Neville Chamberlain and his famous cave in to Hitler

that we should now have this cave in to...?
