Jesus Christ, Lamb of God, fill us with Your Peace.

Through sacraments Catholics bookmark their journey in Christ with evolved commitments to the Church's teachings.  Again we urge all parishioners, if they have not already done so, or are new to our church community to register with the Church so we can be of assistance to you as you journey through this life in Christ.

BAPTISM

MANDATORY BAPTISMAL CLASS

In a continuing effort to enhance our Catholic Experience at St Mary of Mount Virgin Church, we are pleased to announce a course in Baptismal Preparation for expecting and new parents.  The purpose of the class is to clarify the rules and regulations of the Catholic Church in regard to Baptism - especially the selection of Godparents.  All parents planning a Baptism at St Mary's or St Theresa's must attend this class.  Please contact Sr. Carmela at 732-545-0514 to register.

Applications for Baptism are available through the Parish Office or this site.  Baptism is available to all new born children as well as adults through the RCIA program.

The importance of being a Godparent is simple: should the parents of the baptized perish for any reason, the child, having been baptized in the Catholic Faith, should have no interruption or change in their Faith because of such a tragedy, and therefore, the designation of a Godparent is one that requires careful deliberation. Please download and consider carefully the information provided here in regard to Baptism into the Catholic Faith.

If you have special circumstances please contact the church office to arrange for consultation.  All Parish contact information can be found to the left under the "Parish Contacts" button.

Baptismal Application/Information on Process

THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM IS CELEBRATED AFTER 11:30AM SUNDAY MASS.

MARRIAGE

Registered, active parishioners who are planning to be married should contact the Parish Office one year in advance of the proposed wedding date in order to allow for proper pre-marital preparation.

"When a marriage is freely contracted, the man and wife, whether they are aware of it or not, enter the presence of God.  There is always a silent Companion, perhaps never given a name, who embraces, preserves, redeems, and blesses all: this presence we call God.: Karl Rahner, SJ
